Welcome to Mel Pettit photography. I am delighted you found me.  Based in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, which is close to Cambridge, Peterborough and Huntingdon, I can travel throughout surrounding counties including Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. Studio, location or home based portraits

I enjoy taking a good portrait as much as I love photographing weddings. Taking an image of an individual that will last for generations makes me very happy.  There is no comparing a professionally taken portrait with a mobile phone selfie; they are not the same thing.   Selfies are viewed and consumed in seconds but a printed portrait will outlast the subject.

There are a number of ways in which I can photograph you.  We could go to a studio – I don’t own my own but I do hire time – we could go to a location special to you, or I can come to your home.  I have all the lights needed to get the image you want, all I need is some space in which to work.
